1:1 integrated nutrition counselling & health coaching

Develop your resiliency. Find your definition of equanimity. Live more vibrantly.

This isn't another nutrition program. Every session is sequenced to your capacity — starting with the First Score, a structured look at where your body actually is — and built from the five pillars, pillar by pillar.

Put a dot where it feels most drained. Put a star where it feels steady.

One-on-one coaching is for…

  • The Emotional Eater

who feels like they're starting over on every healthy habit.

  • The Overwhelmed Go-Getter

who wants to understand exactly what their body is going through.

  • The Unconnected Griever

who feels like no one understands what they're going through.

What coaching can look like

  • Grocery shopping together and learning to read food labels
  • Organising your kitchen and meal plan so eating well is easier
  • Basic cooking lessons and recipe recommendations
  • Researching your health questions and applying the answers
  • Finding fun ways to move and build strength
  • Tracking food, sleep, water or movement in your online portal
  • Gentle support through the emotional toll of grief
  • Coffee before a walk, to talk
  • Journaling prompts and coping strategies that actually fit
  • Noticing your body's signals and tailoring the plan to them

The ColourFull Method

Four axes decide what we work on. Five pillars decide how.

Instead of one line from "dysregulated" to "better", the Method reads four things at once — and the program is allocated from them. Nothing is prescribed that your capacity can't carry, and your own goal always earns a session.

Three stones across a river: steady ground (regulated), when grief arrives (dysregulated), a new kind of steady (re-regulating)

Five pillars × three phases

Regulated. Dysregulated. Re-regulating.

The three phases describe the body's capacity — never grief. Nobody finishes grieving; the body can still find a new kind of steady. Each pillar has its own modules for each phase, so the work in month one (eat something, sleep somewhat, see a doctor) is different from the work in month nine (the dinner party, the recipe box, the return to a full life).

  • Food
  • Sleep
  • Movement
  • Emotions
  • Life

57 discrete modules across the five pillars, each with a demand level, prerequisites, a session template and a takeaway you keep.

Session one, for everyone

The First Score

Ninety minutes, ten short sections, and you leave holding a written profile: your scores across the five pillars, what the body is asking for first, and a proposed sequence of sessions. The engine does the allocating; you do the choosing.

  • Safety flags stop or refer before anything else
  • Capacity gates module demand; high load removes modules
  • Your stated goal always earns a session, prerequisites included
  • Credited in full toward any package

  1. S0 · SAFETY GATE

A few direct questions first. If something needs a doctor or a counsellor today, that comes before anything else.

  2. S1 · CONTEXT

Who died, when, and what your days look like now.

  3. S2 · LOAD

The life changes stacked on top of the loss — moving, money, caregiving, work.

  4. S3 · CAPACITY

Sleep, fatigue, appetite, pain, illness: what the body is reporting.

  5. S4 · ENERGY

How you're moving between the grieving and the rebuilding.

  6. S5 · PILLAR SUBSCALES

Food, sleep, movement, emotions, life — scored so we can see the shape of it.

  7. S6 · BARRIERS

What has actually stopped you before — time, money, nausea, nobody to eat with.

  8. S7 · READINESS

What feels important and what feels possible right now.

  9. S8 · THE BOND

Food and the person: the recipes, the rituals, the empty chair.

  10. S9 · YOUR GOAL

In your words. It always earns a session, with its prerequisites pulled in automatically.

Every session, the same safe shape

Foundation. Learning loop. Forwarding the action.

  1. 1 · Foundation

A temperature check and permission — what's the capacity today, and what are we allowed to touch?

  2. 2 · Learning loop

The module for the day, worked through with curiosity (what did you notice? what surprised you? what would you adjust?). Feedback you can actually use.

  3. 3 · Forwarding the action

One small, specific next step — sized to the week you're about to have — and a branded takeaway in your inbox within a day.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Coaching is not medical or mental-health treatment, and nutrition does not treat grief. Red flags — prolonged grief, depression, PTSD, disordered eating, thoughts of self-harm, chest symptoms — are referred the same day to the right professional, with your consent and with Vera still beside you.

Frequently asked

  • No. Vera is a health and wellness coach and integrative nutrition counsellor, not a psychotherapist or registered dietitian. Coaching works beside therapy — many clients have both — and Vera will tell you plainly when something needs a physician, a registered dietitian or a counsellor, and help you find one.
